How the Waifu Score ranks these cards
Every card gets a 0–100 Waifu Score built from six weighted inputs: artwork (25%), character popularity (20%), rarity (15%), market value (15%), collector demand (15%) and set importance (10%). Market value is log-scaled, so one four-figure grail does not flatten everything beneath it — a well-executed $80 alt art can outrank a dull $800 secret rare.
That weighting is deliberate: this list answers "what is worth collecting", not "what costs the most". If you want the pure price ordering, the most expensive ranking sorts by live market data instead.
Where to start if you are new
Pick a character before you pick a card. Prices across a single character's prints span three orders of magnitude, so deciding who you collect narrows the field far faster than deciding a budget. From there, the cheapest print of a character you like usually teaches you more about the market than an expensive print of one you do not.
Then buy one premium print rather than several base cards. Premium prints hold value better, are easier to resell, and are the cards that actually look like the art that drew you in.
