How the pack opening simulator works

Each rip deals 24 packs of 12 cards — 9 common slots, 2 uncommon and one hit slot, each filled from whichever base rarities that set actually prints. Every card it hands you is priced at the same weekly TCGplayer market data the rest of the site uses, so the running total at the end is the number worth arguing with.

The hit slot is where the modelling lives. Bandai publishes no pull rates, so premium tiers land at editorial estimates rather than official odds — deliberately conservative ones. That makes the simulator useful for the shape of a box rather than for any individual result, and it is why the totals vary so widely between rips.

Want to change the assumptions instead of rolling against them? The box EV calculator exposes every rate as a slider and shows the expected value directly.

Pack simulator: questions answered

What is a One Piece pack simulator?
A virtual box opening: it deals 24 packs of 12 cards from a real set list and prices every card it gives you at weekly TCGplayer market data. Real box configurations vary by product — that pack count is the simulator's model, not a spec — and nothing is bought, shipped or owned. It shows what a box tends to return before you spend on one.
Is the pack opening simulator free?
Yes, and there is no account or sign-up. Every set opens straight from its page, as many times as you like.
Which One Piece sets can you open?
22 sets, covering the numbered OP boosters, the EB extra boosters and the PRB premium boosters. Sealed box prices across them run from about $226 upward.
Are the pull rates real?
They are editorial estimates. Bandai publishes no official pull rates for the One Piece Card Game, so the premium slots use the same assumptions as our box EV calculator, where every rate is yours to override. A model, not a promise.
Does opening a virtual box tell you whether to buy a real one?
It tells you the shape of the answer. Most boxes return well under the headline chase card, because a set's value concentrates in a handful of cards you are unlikely to hit. For a specific card, buying the single is almost always cheaper than the expected cost of pulling it.
