How we check products
Every figure we link is an official product from a licensed maker, never an explicit version, and it was on sale on the day we checked it. Each link opens that exact product page, never a search page. Bootleg figures are common online, so we only link sellers where the product is the real one.
Figures on Amazon
An Amazon listing qualifies when, on the day we check it:
- its title names the character, her series and a licensed maker line: Good Smile (Nendoroid, Pop Up Parade, figma), Funko Pop!, Kotobukiya, or a prize-figure maker such as Banpresto, Taito, FuRyu or SEGA;
- it is sold by Amazon or the maker's own store. Many Japanese figures on Amazon are sold by third-party shops, and we leave those out;
- it is in stock or open for pre-order;
- it is priced under a normal cap for its line, which screens out reseller markups.
Japanese import shops
Rows labelled Import · ships from Japan link to Japanese shops: Solaris Japan and Play-Asia. These shops stock official figures that Amazon often doesn't carry. The figure ships to you from Japan, so the shop shows the shipping cost and delivery time at checkout. Depending on your country, import duties or taxes may apply.
An import-shop product page qualifies when, on the day we check it:
- its title names the character and her series, from an official maker;
- the figure is in stock new, not a pre-order. Solaris Japan lists brand-new and pre-owned copies on the same page. We check the brand-new one, so pick “Brand New” there. At Play-Asia we only link figures in its own warehouse;
- it is an exact product page. Both shops also sell adult items, so we never link their search or category pages.
No explicit products
TCGWaifu is a PG-13 collector site. Official swimsuit, bunny and costume versions are fine, the same as the cards themselves, and so are figures that keep everything covered. We never link nude figures, cast-off figures (clothing parts that come off to reveal nudity), or anything sold as 18+. A product title doesn't always say so, so for figures we also read the product page.
Stock and prices change
We don't show shop prices or shop photos, because they change faster than we can check them. Stock moves fast too, especially at import shops. A figure can sell out after we checked it, and we recheck our picks from time to time. The shop's page always has the current price and stock.
